Chairman of the Board of BonBoz Clinic: "Striving to do the right thing in a billion-dollar market"

In an interview with Thanh Nien, Mr. Pham Thanh Duc — Chairman of the Board of Directors at BonBoz Clinic — shared that his decision to enter the aesthetic industry stemmed from a personal family need: finding a safe clinic for his daughter to enhance her appearance. During his research, he realized that the reputation of the aesthetic industry was being eroded by price dumping and misleading advertising, making it difficult for consumers to distinguish between fully qualified clinics and unsafe facilities.
For Mr. Duc, "doing the right thing" in this field means establishing a seamless, medically standardized safety protocol—from the initial consultation, selection of appropriate methods and materials, to pre-operative assessment, procedure execution, and post-operative care—rather than simply aiming for "no complications." He believes this is the most critical factor when investing in an aesthetic clinic, as healthcare is a highly specialized field requiring absolute precision, where the "trial and error" mindset of conventional startups cannot be applied.
This very philosophy led him to search for a like-minded physician to lead the clinic's medical operations—which brought him to MSc. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Vu, who later took on the role of Medical Director at BonBoz Clinic. Mr. Duc shared that his experience from previous startups helped him face initial challenges with composure, embracing the principle of "slow but right" rather than being swept up by the pursuit of hasty success.
"The Vietnamese aesthetic market is growing rapidly, yet its value and credibility seem to be declining. Therefore, I want to do the right thing to deliver the reputable, high-quality services that clients truly deserve," Mr. Pham Thanh Duc shared with Thanh Nien.
