Beauty at a medical standard

Ms. Tran Thuy Mai grew up in Hanoi, attended Hanoi – Amsterdam High School, and graduated from Foreign Trade University before moving to Saigon to establish her career with her husband. For over 20 years, she balanced raising four children with building her career—spending more than 10 years at Nike, followed by Nuskin, where she initiated the "5 AM" club to encourage colleagues to run and read.

In 2018, she secured a Top 3 finish in her age group at Ironman Phuket—a journey of rigorous training she still recalls as a testament to her life philosophy: physical discipline goes hand in hand with professional discipline. In 2022, when her eldest daughter expressed a desire for aesthetic surgery, she began researching the industry seriously—and realized the market lacked information transparency, credibility was low, and customer experience was not truly prioritized.

Addressing these exact three bottlenecks, she and her husband co-founded BonBoz Clinic—not only to meet a personal need, but to serve as a bridge helping parents confidently accompany their children on a safe, medically standardized beauty journey.

Mr. Pham Thanh Duc is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of BonBoz Clinic, which he co-founded with Ms. Tran Thuy Mai. Before entering the aesthetic industry, he accumulated over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and corporate leadership — having served as Deputy General Director of a major technology corporation in Vietnam, and CEO of an e-wallet company. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Foreign Trade University and is an alumnus of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the same school as Ms. Tran Thuy Mai.

His entry into the aesthetic industry was sparked by his own family — while searching for a safe clinic for his daughter, he realized that the industry's reputation was being eroded by price dumping and deceptive advertising. To him, "doing the right thing" means a seamless, medically standardized safety protocol — from consultation and pre-operative assessment to post-operative care — rather than simply "avoiding complications." This philosophy drove his decision to find a like-minded physician to lead the medical team: MSc. MD. Nguyen Xuan Vu, who later became the Medical Director of BonBoz Clinic.

The experience gained from his previous ventures helped him navigate BonBoz's early challenges with composure, embracing the principle of "slow but right" rather than chasing hasty success. As he shared with Thanh Nien Newspaper (November 22, 2024): "The Vietnamese aesthetic market is growing rapidly, but its value and credibility seem to be declining. Therefore, I want to do the right thing to deliver the reputable, high-quality service that clients truly deserve."
