BonBoz CEO: Championing Natural Beauty Yet Venturing into the Aesthetics Industry

VnExpress profiles entrepreneur Tran Thuy Mai — who secured third place in her age group at Ironman Phuket before entering the aesthetic industry. Born and raised in Hanoi, she attended the prestigious Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and graduated from the Foreign Trade University. She later moved to Ho Chi Minh City with her husband to build their career, hands-on raising four children while working full-time at major corporations and completing her Master's degree.
Her passion for sports truly ignited in 2017 during a trip to Australia to cheer on her husband at an Ironman event, which inspired her to take up swimming, cycling, and running despite her initial fear of water. In 2018, she competed in her first Ironman in Phuket and unexpectedly won third place in her age group. At her workplace, she founded the "5 AM" club to encourage colleagues to run and read.
The turning point came at age 46, when her eldest daughter — Thuy Phuong — expressed a desire for cosmetic surgery. Drawing from that personal experience, Ms. Thuy Mai and her husband decided to establish BonBoz Clinic. "A beautiful physique must balance inner health and outward appearance. As a mother, I always want to invest the very best in my children's future. I hope BonBoz can help everyone become the best version of themselves, and serve as a place where parents can accompany their children on their aesthetic journey, ensuring medical-grade standards," she told VnExpress.
